Hi Penny,
When you have 3 pairs of leaves on that main stem, 'pinch- out' the growing tip, this is the start of helping a plant to 'bush-out' more. Subsequent stems can be treated in the same way.

The more you 'pinch-out' the bushier your plant will be, but you must remember 'pinching-out' deters flowering. From the last time you 'pinch-out' it will be at least 10/12 weeks before you have flowers on this particular variety. This of course does vary according to your climate re warmth and daylight hours. Thank you so much Kath. That was also something I forgot to ask about (pinching). I better start pinching some of them now then as they are growing quite well in front of a glass door so perhaps my mid summer I will see some blooms on these babies.

I have to say that I took so many cuttings b/c I didn't expect such great success. In fact I didn't expect any success even though I have read many of Kath's posts over the past year about fuschias. I was amazed that every single cutting has rooted. even some scrawny looking pieces with one leave that broke off as I was taking the other cuttings have rooted. I can't stand throwing anything out so I stuck those just down in some potting soil and I have double shoots coming up from the soil surface. My plants ( the parents as well as the rooted babies) have much bigger leaves this year. I don't know if that is normal or a fluke but they all look awsome.

BTW, after the cuttings were prepped and placed in the premoistened soil I provided additional water by misting the soil using a weak solution of aspririn water (a quarter of an uncoated aspirin dissolved in a gallon of water. I don't know if this helped in their rooting or not but it obviously didn't hurt.
