Fuchsia cuttings are as easy as pie using this method. I have been using it for years and rarely had a failure. It is also simplicity itself. Choose a vigorous young growth and cut it off within about 4 nodes of the tip. Remove all leaves except the tip pair and the ones below.The best way is to rub them off with your fingers so no stem is left. Place the cutting in a small glass of clean water so the water covers all but the leaves. Change the water if it becomes cloudy and rub off any leaves that form below the water level.Leave for 2-6 weeks until roots start to appear near the lower nodes. When the roots are about 1cm (half an inch ) in length remove the cutting from the water and pot up. Keep well shaded until fully established. If you want to be super cautious place in a propagator (not proper gator as my young son once wrote) but there is no need for root hormone. This method is also good for hydrangeas, coleus and a number of other fast rooting subtropical plants with good stem substance. - Ian.
