@akozlowski, i don't have plans for this ladder. I found this image on the internet for a client that was looking for ideas for loft ladders and really liked this one myself. Looks like it would be pretty easy to build though. I really like the jointery between the ladder rung and the side rails and how the side rails have built-in hand holds. Just be careful not to take too much off the side rails and weaken the ladder. Good luck.

Thanks for responding. The jointery between the rungs and the side rails are what I was most interested in too. It looks like the rails are only 1x6's, which I think keeps the ladder looking light and airy, but adds to my curiosity as to how they made that connection with no added blocking or angles under the treads for strength. Anyway, thank you for posting this picture as I will continue to take inspiration from it, and thank you for wishing me luck as I will need all I can get as I attempt to construct my own.

The treads are joined with through mortise and tenons. That combined with the fact that the front of the tread saddles on to the stringers gives added lateral strength. Hopefully the treads are made from very straight grained stock. Using flatsawn stock with cathedral grain is where you will have eventual failure using 1x stock.
