I grow my 'Lottie Hobbie' in pots. Last winter the one that was outside in Jan. died. This winter put them in the unheated garage for a week. The rest of the time -in protected area outside. Worst a try. :))

That's what I have been doing too, leaving them out as long as possible and pulling them in when the temperature goes below freezing. When I get big enough spare plants I will try them outside.

I grow both Isis, Lottie Hobbie and the variegated LH as permanent outdoor plants. They tend to be somewhat tender as hardy fuchsias go and often dieback completely, only to have new growth emerge from the base. With our very mild winter this year, they all came through fine and even retained some foliage all winter.
