florida fig recommendations...

wandering over from the FLA forum... i have an 'alma' fig (about 3 yrs, only a few fruits last season) and a 'brown turkey' (got it at a local nursery that was clearancing them... 7' tall at least 2 cal. inches! -- for $15!!!)... i have a couple of large tree pots full of potting soil, and decided that i need more figs.

keeping in mind my conditions -- growing in pots, hot and HUMID and terribly wet summers, very rare frosts, lots of sun... what two fig varieties would you all recommend? if you have commercial sources or recommendations, that'd be nice, too. i've never met a fig i didn't like, so ideas for figs that would extend my fruiting season take priority over color or flavor nuance. (not that flavor isn't an important consideration!)

oh, and while i'm asking... i understand that brown turkey has a tendency to spoil on the branch b/c of humidity and rain... anything i can do to prevent that? i've picked tons of what i was told were bt here in FLA (friend's house), and that tree never had problems. still, prevention is worth a pound of figs.
