Hola! I saw this variety in Minier Nursery and Garden center Ejea wich is supplied by Minier.

I was searching in Google and Pierre Baud's book "Figues" and I didn't find anything about this fig.

It seems to be an unknown variety distributed and "discovered" by Minier in Cherbourg (Normandy-France).
I am sorry but I don't know anything about "Violette Normande".

xon2000, that is one beautiful fig, how is the taste, it even looks sweet.

This fig looks exactly like Dauphine both inside and out.

Yes, I think It is very similar fig, but this oldest nursery (1838) also has violette dauphine , then probably is not a mislabeled fig...
Can you see the differences , putting "fig" in the searching box for English version of this Nursery Web

Sounds interesting, but minier seems to be a wholesale nursery and I can't speak spanish to order at Gardencenter Ejea.

Are there any other sources where to get this variety?

ItÂs true minier donÂt sell directly , but you are lucky minier has a German web page where you can find reseller for your country.
If you donÂt find it , I can help you to translate It in correct castilian, also I have German colleagues in my company.
