I was at my local nursery this weekend and saw a row of blooming daphne and my goodness the scent was incredible! :)

Yours look great kandhi! Have fun sniffing! :)

I picked up a pot of blooming daphne at my local nursery recently. There are not many fragrant plants that smell as good as a winter daphne in my opinion. This is a 'Zuiko Nishiki':

kemistry, that looks beautiful. Can you describe the fragrance?

I think it smells like a mixture of lemongrass, freshly cut ginger, honey and gardenia.. a truly addicting scent. How does it smell to you?

It hasn't bloomed yet, I am waiting for the buds to open. It is in 30-40degrees outside and very cold. The plant has 100s of buds and continues to make more. when it bloomed last year I remember it to be more strong cloves/gardenia scent. I am waiting to buy Zuiko Nishiki variety too if I can find anywhere.

Finally it has blooms everywhere and with lot of fragrance
