So beautiful! I can almost smell them. Thank you very much. Jerry

Jerry, you forget to address my question: Are trailing gardenias considered large leafed or small leafed type?

Shic,

If you're talking about gardenia jasminoides 'radicans', I'd call it a small leaf type, but I don't know that it makes much difference from a cultural point of view -- gardenia experts, jump on in here . . . .

Jim

I was told that large leaf types are somewhat easier to care for. The larger leafs are more resistant from dropping. Some small flowered gardenia with tiny leafs are said to be extremely difficult to keep. When you give these plants out as gifts to your (black-thumbed) friends, the large leaf types tend to last longer. Do you agree?
