Have you got a place where it stays above freezing? if so you could over winter your plants by letting them go dormant, they won't need light and you just have to give them enough water to stop the root ball from drying out. A garage, or maybe a cellar? In Feb/Mar you can cut them back, by this time they usually have started to show shoots, at this time give them lots of light so they don't get long and leggy. Wintering in the house is not really recommended. I hope this is of some help.

Hmmmmm....have a garage but it gets just about as cold out there as it does outside, I'd be afraid that if we get another really cold winter like last year the cold will kill it. I guess I could try one out in the garage and one in the house, if both fail, oh well, get replacements next year. It's basically an experiment for me anyway. We'll see, thanks for you advice!

The thing is to keep them from freezing, how about covering them with straw, shavings, or peatmoss, in an insulated box. you'd have to check them once in awhile to make sure the roots hadn't dried out. Remember to take all the leaves off before you store them for the winter, it's worth a try.
