Not an easy climate for fuchsia growing. In respect of heat the triphylla types like 'Gartenmeister Bonstedt' or 'Thalia' are better than the ordinary cultivars, but there again don't like foliage or flowers getting an awful lot of rain on them.

Whatever sort you try, keep them in a shady spot out of direct sunlight. If planted in the garden try to keep the soil moist, if planted in pots, water in the mornings.
