I love the color of the blooms, but the leaves are very unique. If I saw one like that, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Yes, these leaves are very dark. I saw some other 'Vancouver's in other nurseries, and they weren't as dark as these. I got lucky!

A few years ago (in the Vancouver area) I bought a very sad specimen of this plant at the end of the season for 35 cents and nursed it through the winter indoors. Over the next few years I made many dozens of cuttings for my garden, giveaway and sales. As the photo shows, it's so great paired with lime foliage.

I have one something like that. The leaves are not as dark tho, your's are gorgeous!

The reason for leaves that aren't dark is that it hasn't received enough sun to color up. Nursery-grown plants are generally grown in diffused light.
