Some botanists and master gardeners cant really explain why in certain plants they revert back to what their parents were. In most cases its the varieties of variegated plants. They, for some unknown reason, revert back to what the parent plant looks like. Not all....just some...which is why they cant explain it.

Mine did the same for me. If I take cuttings from my plant, will the cuttings continue to be green & white, or will they change back to being tri-colored?

Though the plant is doing very well, I only got it because of it's foliage even though the flowers are nice too. Oh, well. I wonder if this happens a lot with variagated pelagorniums.

My tricolor reverts to green and white during the winter months but colors up beautifully as the spring and summer aproach. If you put them outside once you pass your last frost date they will color up faster. I slowly adjust them to full southern exposure outdoors and they do fine. I have one trained as a standard that if fabulous! (I don't often get to use that word!)LOL
