Geranium incanum

Hello

I have had quite a lot of trouble with my Geranium incanum. It's the kind with the nice pink flowers and is basically a groundcover. It is planted on the edge of my garden, and over the years, grass has ultimately overrun it. When I try to weed it, I can't defer what is the plant and what is grass. The grass and Geranium incanum clump take up a two foot diameter large circle in the garden. In these past couple years, the flowers have deminished to a handful. Is there a good way to get rid of the grass? Or should I just trash the whole plant all-together?

Thank you :)
