Thanks for the kind words - I am already looking forward to next years bloom season to see what my five favorite seedlings decide to do. Four of them were in the deck flower beds that were terribly neglected. This latest one was under a wild blackberry bush that was trying to take over - once I cleaned out the bed - it was less than a week before it gave me that lovely purple thank you bloom. The bud looked reddish so I just KNEW it was going to be red - love the color though.
ROSES IN SNOW can look very pretty when she is a mind to - but she can also dog out from time to time. This drought --oohh did I mention we got rain last night -- yippeee-- has caused some real canines in the flowerbed. It is interesting to see just which flowers went on with their show regardless of water conditions and bloomed to perfection.
