Newbie question about seeds

I have ordered some daylily seeds from a couple of places. I live in zone 6 extreme southern Indiana. Should I go ahead and sprout the seeds and start them now? If yes should I start them in pots so I can move them if the winter gets rough? If I don't start them now I'll winter sow them as I did have really good luck with that several years ago at my old house.

You might want to stratify them in the fridge before planting. I think the usual time quoted for that might be 5 weeks, but I could be wrong. (I just leave mine in the fridge until they start sprouting, then I plant them.) By then you'll be into September, so it's not clear how much growth you'll get before your first frost.
