Yes it was... Just getting rid of our 15 year old "Cadillac" of washer and dryers this week. They still look like a million bucks, but be glad you didn't have 15 years of headaches with a pungent fish odor every time you ran the washer, leaky door causing water damage throughout home, multiple spin cycles needed to drain clothes properly, and numerous other irritants! The final straw came last week when with a full load of clothes and water the door burst open emptying the entire contents of water throughout home!! We purchased an Electrolux this time!

So sad, we also were sucked into this model. Lots of headaches and smells. Yuck!

All front load washers end up smelling. They need to be cleaned every 6 months or so, believe it or not. \

If you leave the door open after every load, it will not smell

I always leave mine open. I have never had trouble with bad smells

I had the same fishy smell problem with my 'Cadillac'. Finally had to get rid of it when it sounded like a jet taking off when the spin cycle started. So much for May Tag!

We had the same problems and our dryer had ball bearing issues. So glad they are gone. I love my LG steam models.
