Its one of those pesky aeschy's..... hybrids that is. Um, I get confused on whose who with these. It looks like it might be 'Big Apple', which has deep red flowers up and down its stems. Its a micranthus hyrid (x hildebrandii, which is now known as humilis). It is a heavy bloomer over a long season and can be nearly everblooming. But, I haven't grown it in years so I am not sure. There is also one called 'Fireworks'. I would guess that it won't set seed.

Jen, you definitely need to grow humilis. That is the one. It is a small growing upright branching shrub that covers itself with clusters of multicolored flowers. The variety 'Topaz' has yellow flowers. But, I digress.

I see another tag was a casualty of last summer's upheaval (I should be able to look it up, though, as I have a list...somewhere). Anyway, the point is, that gorgeous (my very favorite) striped orange/red/yellow upright Aeschynanthus that you gave me is now loaded with buds again (after taking last year off). I can hardly wait until they open!
