Nope, no leaves. It will take a year to get a starter out of the leaf if at all.

Let's say you take 4" of the top of the stem, remove the last 2 pairs of leaves and stick it in the light soil. It is a terminal cutting. You can take the next 3 inches of the same shoot - and repeat the procedure. The roots come from the node you stick into the soil - and you need to have a t least a pair of good leaves to stay above.

If you cover your starter pot with a plastic baggie or a transparent plastic container to increase the humidity - you will get them well rooted in a couple of weeks.

Yep - piece of cake, and those are great instructions, Irina. I propagated a ton of these this spring, and they make great bedding plants in the shade - now I want to locate the white variety.
