Effects of colored mulches

Hi Everyone Aussie Max here. Years ago I read a New Scientist article about changes in yield and flavour (Aussie spelling) from differnt colored (coloured) mulches. Red seems to increase tomato yield and disease resistance. Silver has been used with squash. Pen State has done a lot of work on this. Has anyone experimented with colored mulches in relation to fruit size? Cheers Max
