In AVs certain traits must come from the mother such as variegation. I assume this holds true for variegated streps. Certain other traits are transferred from the mother dominating over the father.

From observations of the two crosses that I've bloomed out (Ice Wine X Emily, Canterbury Surprise X Bristol's Leopard Skin), here are my preliminary conclusions.

Purple is dominant and pink is recessive. Other colours and patterns have more complex inheritance -- more than one gene.
Variegation is inherited through the pod parent but other factors are also involved.
Lines from the throat are dominant
Yellow throat is dominant, white is recessive (although others have reported puzzling results using yellow throated parents)
Floriferousness can be conferred by the pollen parent

But anything is possible. Salmon Sunet (salmon/coral) comes from Michael (purple) and Texas Hot Chili (red).
