I think the florist gloxinias are plants that are easy to keep alive, but hard to grow and bloom well, especially in warmer climates. Yours may actually do better with more light during the cooler part of the year - they like high light and low temps (relatively speaking). Dormancy's not obligatory with these, but they are determinate; once a particular rosette of foliage produces its blooms, it's done, and new ones will arise to take its place. If the new growths are clustered, you'll get a more clustered plant with more, but smaller, blooms. If you want larger blooms on a plant that looks more like those that are sold as gift plants, leave one rosette from each flush of growth and detach the others at their junction with the tuber; these can be rooted to create more plants.

You can repot, but be careful not to go too much larger than the original diameter, because drainage is key with these, and too much soil can create problems with rotting. They'd rather be potted in a fast-draining mix that will nearly dry out before being watered again. As much morning sun as possible will give you a flat, rounded rosette of leaves - I grow mine in full sun, but it's not as intense here as yours probably is.

It's now in a clay 6 inch orchid pot with peat perlite.
Think what I might do is repot into a mix of firbark and crushed lava rock . This is what I use for Phaius orchids which it is growing among. Provides great drainage during daily rains and does not break down.
Don't really have a sunny area for such a short plant lol Vanda orchids are in hanging baskets and the ground has understory palms so very dense shade from ground level to about 3 feet up. May rig up some type of hanging basket.. Guess I'll just have to experiment.lol
