We'll probably have to wait until the bloom opens on this one. Off hand, I'm sure you've guessed it's not likely to be blueberries and cream. Did you contact the person who sent it?

It came in a round robin box last spring so not sure who sent it. I am sure it is not a B&C. It's starting to look more like the blooms of an aeschymantus to me.

What do the leaves look like? I must admit I've never seen an orange/red streptocarpella. Just whites and shades of blue and violet.

I'll take another photo tomorrow if the flower has opened. I am pretty sure it is not a streptocarpella and definitely not B&C.

Is this a vining plant? It looks rather like an unopened Columnea blossom to me at this stage. Once it opens we'll know with more certainty.

It's looking more like a columnea to me too. Here is a photo of the plant that shows the leaves and blooms.

Definitely a Columnea. You might be able to find out which it is by contacting the people involved in the round robin and see which Columnea people grow. Someone may have accidentally placed it in the Streptocarpella bag and could know which Columnea this is.
