I think it may be a Bristol's Blue Water...but I'm new to this, remember! It sorta looks like that, but the markings are more of a medium purple. Wish to heck they had put a marking on the pot. All I know is the darn thing is HUGE!! Seed pods....what do I look for?

Streps are one of the plants that tickle me especially when they set seed. The name 'streptocarpus' means 'twisted seed' or something like that--'twisted carpel' maybe?--and when you see them you'll see why. And when they ripen they'll 'untwist'. Pretty neat!

Strepto means "twisted" and carpus means "seed pod" or "fruit" (take your pick. Here is a picture of a "streptocarpus seedpod" (note this took a while for me to find). In this photo you will see how the seam of the fruit twists around it.(from the party opening the 2002 AGGS convention)
