G. lindeniana is a compact enough plant and it is rhizomatous - plus it develops aerial stringy rhizomes that it sends out - and they root if they touch the soil and produce a new shoot.

When it is mature enough - it produces beautiful pale lilac pink flowers - and some people can even detect the fragrance.

The problem with all rhizomatous plants - you work hard to create an attractive specimen - and very soon they overgrow the perfect stage.

Usually to root several cuttings and place them in a same pot while preparing for the Show is a good idea. If you are not in a hurry - you can just let it be. If you want it to grow faster - put it under the dome. It thrives on high humidity.

Thanks Irina. Right now my plant is only 1 stem and a few inches tall. Just a little one right now, but hopefully it takes off for me. I absolutely love the foliage of this plant. I'm not really looking to show it so I think I'll let it grow out naturally.
