Absolutely gorgeous ginger! The new shoots look intriguing and beautiful, too. I need to look this one up...I have a couple of the more common costus. This spring, my costus comosus bakeri, in a 5 gallon pot, sent up an enormous shoot that's already 5' tall in the greenhouse. I thought it was cool, but of course, it's all green and I love plants with a red reverse on the leaves like yours.

I'm hoping this forum becomes more active. I think some people didn't see your post because you posted a second picture and that bumped your entry down since it now had one 'reply'. I have complained to the forum moderators about this since you have to post twice to get two pictures on there, and then you end up bumping your own post down the list.

Anyway, thanks for the post and the pictures. Gorgeous!
