Your Red Apple is probably Aeschynanthus 'Big Apple'. Your columnea seed pods would be a white berry. They develope slowly and take about three months or so to ripen. When the berries are full sized and white they eventually become such that just the slightest tug will remove them from the stem. Then they are ripe and can be easily separated from the pulp by spreading out on a sheet of white computer paper and leaving over night to dry. The tiny seeds are easy to germinate--just don't cover them and keep the seed pot enclosed to keep the surface of the media nice and moist.
