Are you referring to Globba schomburgkii 'Yellow Dancing Girl'? The babies are sprouting from little bulbous that didn't fall from the infloresecence and you cetainly may plant them. They will actually drop from the plant and sprout all over the place. Two different Globbas will do that. Costus will also sprout kikis from the inflorescence and one Hedychium also does this Hedychium 'greenii'.

The dancing girl is one of my favorites, it doesn't seem to grow taller than 1' and the flowerspikes are so beautiful. I plan on going to an upcoming plant swap in Oct. so if the kikis survive, I am sure they will find good homes.
