I assume the corsican needs a 120 day growing season, and you should be able to plant no later than early or mid-May. That would give you until the end of September for full growth. At that time, you can leave them on the vine until the stems are dry and brown, then cut the stem, leaving about 4 inches, and put them somewhere to dry.
You can scuff the seed shoulders with a file, and/or soak them 24 hours in water to give them a boost before planting.

My growing season is real short - roughly June 1 to mid September, so I start my gourd seeds indoors in large pots. I then move them to a cold frame which gets them used to the stronger sunlight until I can plant them around June.
