Electric fence wire (like what you'd use to keep the dog in the yard) is strong, extremely corrosion/weathering resistant, and very cheap. Also comes in thick enough gauges to not slice into things like a cheese cutter.

Loofa and all gourds actually like lots of sun!! The west side of your pic looks good, all day sun! They like a trellis to grow up also; I am going to try some cattle panel fencing this year. I haven't priced it yet though; I have seen people make trellis' out of old logs too. Good luck!

Thanks, I've since made this. I am going to use the electric wire in places. I planted the seeds about a week ago and they are starting to come up.
