Creeping Juniper is rather easy to move, especially if you aren't looking to keep it. Cutting the trunk away from the main roots with an axe will kill it. If you plan on transplanting it go around the plant in a circular fashion with a shovel about 16" to 18" from the base of plant in order to cut the roots back. After a complete circle is completeed pop the rootball out of the ground. Trim back foliage so there is not too much for the now smaller root system to support nutritionally.
