2nd year

I planted a kabocha last year. It fruited but wasn't killed by our mild winter. It is now growing again. I've fed it some manure tea and it seems to be happy enough. Does anyone know whether it will fruit again or is this a doomed venture trying to get 2 years out of an annual plant?
