Several years ago I planted a large section of pachysandra on a fairly steep slope. It has filled in very nicely however this year the most uphill of the plants have lost all their leaves. I recently did my spring cleanup and removed any leaves that were covering the mulch. The stems appear healthy and stick up straight with good rigidity.

Once the growing season kicks in will the stems re-establish leaves or will I need to count on (new) fresh growth to fill in the area?
