Space requirements are virtually the same for the mid size vining winter squash and pumpkins. The vines run for a considerable distance. I plant on 8 foot centers and let the vines overlap.

Hi there! I was wondering how your blue jarrahdales are doing? I found a seed packet of these at a local farm store yesterday and went ahead and popped some in the ground just to see what they might do. Maturity time said 90-100 days, so they should have time to produce before our first frost here. have they been a quick grower for you?

We have grown jarrahdales for years. Each year I worry about how slow they develop and then comes late July/early August and the vines will take off. I think they are slow compared to other pumpkins. The pumpkins will start coming on in early august and we pick them in September or October.
