We squirrels are always getting the blame

I am also having a real problem now with squirrels. They make my blood boil! My gingers are finally trying to make a weak comeback. One day I see a stem coming up, then I see a squirrel chewing it off at the base and sitting on a boulder to munch it. They also eat ginger flowers, tithonias, etc....aaaarrrrrggghhhhh!!!!

annafl, I'm suppose to receive this Deer Off product on Friday so I'll post this weekend if I notice results. Hard to find at local stores, and it's made of rotten eggs, predator piss and hot sauce basically, LOL. Also it repels up to 3 months! :O

Let me know how it works. The bloody squirrels destroy my mandevilla and sunflowers and pretty much anything else they can get their hands on.

Squirrels have been bad this year. They've been digging in my potted plants sometimes destoying the plant (if it is small) in the process. grrr!

Deer-off is a great product, I had to use it on my pineapple plants as the rabbits were actually eating the leaves all the way to the base of the plants...grrr. I don't mind the rabbits at all (in the rest of the yard) and the deer-off has worked well.
Squirrels however, don't seem bothered by it.
