Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds

trellising small pumpkins

I have a small area, right next to my my yards' chain-link fence, I've planted some pumpkin seeds. I planted Jack Be Littles right next to the fence. Can they be trellised up the fence? Has anyone tried this? Did it work? How did you do it? Were you successful?

Jackbelittles do well climbing up a small fence...got 5-6 to a plant with 6 ft vines last time I tried...maybe more,cant remember.

Are there specifics I need to know? Do I just let them go? Do they need to be tied to the fence or anything? When the fruits form, do I need to "sling" them or anything or just let 'em go?

I'm growing some Jack Be Littles against a fence and they're doing great. It's just mid-June, and it looks like several are already to be picked! Should I just leave them on the vine? I don't need them until October!
