It isn't invasive in my zone..very warm zone 7. I have a dozen of them, and have never seen a volunteer or even an offset (too bad, because I'd like more copies of it!)

Most Carex varieties are deer resistant.

'Evergold' is rated to zone 9, so you must plant them in shady areas and provide plenty of moisture.

They're now about half again as wide. I'll probably divide them next year.

Maybe you should try planting one of the hundreds of native grass varieties found throughout north America. You're really missing out by lumping such a huge grouping of plants under the 'invasive' banner.

Carex is a sedge so you must be safe.
