Any thoughts on Veronica Miniature Speedwell?

I'm helping my parents reinvigorate their front yard. The have some beds with simple low shrubs alternating with abudant daylillies. They have trouble getting out to mulch and keep up their edging, so I'm thinking of planting a ground cover for them. I came across the Veronica Miniature Speedwell, and it appears to be the answer to my prayers - low to the ground, grows in clay, partial sun, etc. Is there any reason I shouldn't plant it? Any advice?

Thanks for all your help!

Chris
