My side yard is covered with Asian Jasmine. It was here when I moved 8 years ago. I've never touched it and it always looks great.

I want the same thing at another property. The area has nothing but weeds. What would be the best strategy to get rid of the weeds, transplant the Asian Jasmine, and give it a fighting chance against encroaching weeds until the ground cover takes over?
