AKA known as Varigated Japanese Sedge. Dh just bought one of these home from HD to plant around our pond.I noticed on the tag that it says it's an effective ground cover.Are they really saying this is invasive??Should we plant it by the pond,or will we be sorry if we do?? Thanks

No, it isn't invasive. Use as groundcover involves planting many plants or plugs. It will fill in an area, but not invasively. It likes rich moist loamy soil in partial shade. In your zone, don't ignore the shade issue. Also, be careful of planting it where it may receive reflective sunlight from the pond.
