What you have is periwinkle, can really take over but is very easy to pull.

I searched periwinkle and found nothing that looks like this. This flower only has 2 petals. My plants are not evergreen as it says the periwinkle is. It is very easy to pull up because the root system is quite shallow. I guess I am classifying it as a weed for now lol. But I like this weed. thanks, Pat

That flower is called a day flower. It is quite a pretty thing and grows wild around here. Sometimes it is also called a mickey mouse flower. It does kind of look like a mouse.

Yes that is it thank you so much JP. Also called Asiatic dayflower,monsoon weed in Japan. Well I like it but it is coming up everywhere, IT'S EVERYWHERE lol.. I have lived here 15 years and cohabitated with it quite nicely so it is not to invasive to me. But if someone would want some I have plenty .. :-) . The flower does look like mickey mouse ears.
