Someone from Arizona on another forum is using a thyme called
'Reiter'. She is using it for a front lawn and bought the plants from Mountain Valley Growers in California.

Thanks for your replies! I have been doing some research on the type of groundcover that will grow in drought condition, it looks like the creeping thyme(fragrant when stepped on) might be my best bet. I found the seeds on Pennys's online ebay store. The Reiter variety is only available in the plant form for which I will have trouble with shipping! Thanks again!
