Too much $$ invested to have them die like this. Please help. They are all shrivling up. Tonight I dug the dying ones up, loosened the root balls (something I hadn't done at planting)...and I added some compost around the plants. The root balls seemed kinda dry to me, even though I have been giving them a good shower of water at night. I have tried not watering for a few days, and that isn't working, but watering doesn't necessarily seem to be working either. At first I thought this hill was "part-shade" but the more I re-evaluate it, I'd call it more "full sun". Here are some pics I took tonight of what's going on with my plants.
