Need a picture to be able to ID.

Here is a picture of the groundcover that I am trying to identify.

Could it be dorotheanthus bellidiformis 'Mezoo Trailing Red"? I've read that the plant is from South Africa, however, and not Australia. However, the picture is similar and it does have small dime-sized red flowers.

The Mezoo may or may not also be the plant called Baby Sun Rose (aptenia cordifolia) - I can't tell the difference between the two. I've seen the aptenia with solid green leaves and with either red or yellow flowers. There's also supposed to be one with white flowers.

I have had a look at both the Mezoo and Aptenia and they seem unlikely with sharper leaves which are quite glossy green, and possibly larger.

Some additional details on the unidentified groundcover.
Leaves are a light apple green mehich blends into a whitish edge; some new leaves have a dotted-line edging of purple. Leaves up to 5mm. I can't remember the colour of flowers, possibly purple or lilac - nevertheless, they were tiny.

This looks like a sedum to me.

Sedum 'Little Missy." I will bet something on that.

Glad I could help! Not sure this is Australian native though. Though far from a definitive answer, one site lists it as North American native -- though it appears on several Australian mail-order nursery sites.

The flowers are indeed small, but listed as pink or white. I really like the variegated foliage of this sedum, but I have yet to see it in my area.
