Moss or ferns are the obvious answers. There are sensitive ferns and cinnamon ferns.

Lyre Leaf Sage and Blue eyed grass produce flowers and like wet soil. Trifolium fucatum likes swamps and is a nitrogen fixer.

I just bought a great book today called Covering Ground by Barbara W. Ellis. It is a wealth of information and lists of ground cover solutions. If you have access to a library or bookstore, or can maybe even peruse it online it could give you some ideas. Cheers.

I AM LOOKING FOR A GRASS OR GROUND COVER FOR A SHADY MOIST AREA. I HAVE AN AREA BETWEEN 2 HOUSES THAT IS MOSTLY SHADE. THE SOIL HERE DOES NOT PERK WELL. I WOULD LIKE SOMETHING THAT CAN BE MOWED AND HANDLE LIGHT FOOT TRAFFIC.
