Pumpkins, Squash & Gourds

Pruning off squash blossoms.

I planted some Tahitian Squash much to late. If I remove blossoms will it help some of the squash that are already forming to perhaps mature more quickly? I assume more growth energy would go into them, but don't really know. Mature faster or just get bigger?

Typically yes.. pruning the female flowers allows the plant to focus on the forming fruits

If I feel I have enough fruit forming on the vine i usually cut the vine off a few feet after the last fruit. There is also much energy put into the vines. Also cut off most of the secondary vines. Or bury them to support any fruit they have.
