Not really. The blades of the grass will be squared off and will probably brown off as well. It will look awful. Better to wait until next spring, at haircut time, and move it to a more suitable location.

Not only will it get huge, but it is also notorious for flopping. I had a couple of them and they used to flop all over the surrounding perennials. They were beautiful grasses, but honestly I got so sick of the flopping that I gave them both away last Spring.
