looking for groundcover

I'm looking for a low-growing spreading groundcover for underplanting muscari. I would prefer smallish blue summer flowers. It is a south-south/west facing, full afternoon sun slope, with topsoil placed upon a *very* sandy loam base. there are intermitent large rocks for structure. Erosion is not a problem in the location I'd like to place these.

I've looked at some veronica's that seem promising. Phlox blooms too early, and some get too tall. I have vinca minor elsehwere, but it seems to prefer shadier spots anyway.

thank you

Kristen
