So I went out to check on the patch this morning to see if I could maybe help things along any. Counted 47 freshly opened male pumpkin flowers and one female buttercup squash flower. Plenty of bees so they don't need any help from me, just more female flowers!

That's a lot of male flowers! How many pumpkin plants do you have?
I haven't gotten many female flowers yet either, but that's because I'm having some pumpkin trouble at the moment (squash vine borers and powdery mildew at the same time... oh joy).
If something is/was threatening your pumpkins, they won't produce many female flowers until they're better. However, if that's not the case, it may just be something like soil/fertilizer quality. (I've heard too much nitrogen helps leaf growth but hurts flower growth).
