Yes, I am familiar with Prarie Sky, as well as a whole list of Panicums that I grow. Prarie Sky is a powdery blue cultivar, being somewhat similar in color to Northwinds and Heavy Metal panicums. Grows about 5 foot in my gardens, but if you have a sprikler itch or a wet season, it will flop to a side. Moist areas are not a friend to Praire Sky, but if you eliminate that, then it is a great plant. Prarie Sky, as well as many Panicum v. cultivars, tolerates drought and ph problems. Sorry to say, but it gets a 5 out of a 10 in my book. Better plants like Dallas Blues and Heavy Metal stand more proud and produce better specimens....

Yes , 'Prarie Sky' gets a 3 from me ( 5 foot with inflorescense), 'Northwind' gets a 10, 'Dallas Blues' gets a 10 , 'Shenandoah' gets a 10 , 'Heavy Metal gets a 4 .

Prarie Sky is a nice cultivar, but I prefer Dallas Blues, Dewey Blue, Heavy Metal, and Rostralbush.
