I took some pictures of a few of my projects and plants. I really like working with stone, as the results are immediate! The path is not finished. I will show it off after I'm done.

The only photo that was not taken in the past few days is of the Queen's Wreath in full bloom. That one was taken a few months ago. Now it is flowering again, but with a smaller display.

Hope you like them!

I loved the photo with the fruity hen. Of course I loved your girls, too, and the trellis and the Queen's wreath.Beautiful. I can't wait for my Pom to be that full. Nice job Lisa.

Great tour! Wow, your Queen's Wreath is something else. I have a baby. I wonder when I will get the first blooms. I got mine as a 6" baby from D'Ann a couple of years ago. It's about 2' at the most now. Your canines look very happy.

Beautiful garden! Nice selection of edibles and blooms. I like to see the pets that are part of our daily life. For me they add to the beauty of all living things. Good job Lisa.

Lisa, as usual your garden is beautiful and I hope I have the honor one day of visiting it in person. The trellis with the path is so inviting and your girls make me want to follow them and see what there is to explore. Your fruit trees are great but you did not provide a picture of your other girls. How are the chickens doing? I have missed you posting and glad you are finding time to do it once again. Thank you so much, Linda

Lisa, very inspiring to me for I want to do something with concrete in my paths also. I have concrete already but can't decide what to do. I thought of making it to kook like brick paths, pavers with scriptures and or impressions of leaves and also something similar to what you are doing.
The fruits are so yummy looking and the flowers so nice a very inviting garden. Thanks for sharing,

Great pics. I love the arch and the trellis. The entrance to the path is very inviting, especially how the path bends away so you don't know what is back there.

Very pretty! What kind of passion vine is that?

The Queens Wreath is quite impressive--wow. I saw your chicken. How many do you have? Do you have a favorite mulberry variety?

    Thanks, all!

The Passion vines are 2 types. One is from CindeeA, and is for the butterflies. It is "Passie Inflorence" I think? It has lovely purple blooms that perfume the whole property! It springs up all over the yard, but is easy to pull up if not wanted.

The other is a yellow-fruiting variety from ECHO. It has huge leaves. Both types were badly burned by the freeze, but have recovered.

Christine, I like the East Coast Mulberry variety best. It fruits heavily, and the berries are incredibly delish! But, they are all good!

Where in zone 9 are you? I need to prune all my Mulberries soon, and if you are near Stuart, I can bring cuttings to work for you, and anyone else interested.

I have 35 chickens, Barred Rocks, Buff Orpingtons and Delawares. They dig "dust-bath" holes all over the yard, steal my fruit, annoy the dogs- but we love them! They give us nearly 3 dozen eggs a day! There is no wasted food at our place. The only things the chickens refuse are donuts and citrus. Luckily, my husband likes both(G).

Anyone in Palm Beach County that wants Mulberry cutiings, let me know! I'll start a separate thread.

Why pay $35 when you can get them free? The Pakistan is winding down on fruits, so I will prune them all back to 5-6'.

Lisa---We recently were given 7 three month old (egg-laying) chickens so raising chickens is new to me. If you are getting 3 dozen eggs, I presume you sell them. That's a lot of eggs to eat.

I bought a yellow fruited passion fruit vine from ECHO in March. It is 'Sweet Sunrise'. I'm sure yours is the same variety.

How do you eat your Passion Fruit, Straight of the Vine or do you make Deserts out of them?
    Thanks
Oh I've just had a look at your Hound Page.... Nicely set out, will have to have a deeper look later

Lisa, thank you for such wonderful pictures! I enjoyed "the walk" through your beautiful garden

nice! and 3 dozen eggs a day... that's crazy numbers of eggs. we eat a lot of eggs but hardly go through 18 in a week!

btw, i rooted that pakistan mulberry that you sent to sylvia/willi's. i'm going to give it to mary (gatormom) when she gets back. i don't have the space.

ever grow the semi-dwarf mulberry Black Beauty? i have one. it's just now setting a few fruits... i'll give it another year or two, but it needs to be bountiful if it's taking up space in my yard!

Christine, what kind of hens do you have? My birds began laying at 5-6 months- laying at 3 months is really unusual!

I also have Purple Possum Passionfruit, but no fruits yet. My old vines that covered my Turkey pen produced luscious yellow fruits that we slurped in halves. They were killed after the hurricanes.

I feed a lot of eggs to the dogs, and our co-workers buy them too. My "Eric" can gobble down a dozen raw eggs in 30 seconds, after eating an entire raw beef heart! He is a bottomless pit! He would happily eat all the eggs, every day, if I gave them to him.

Ache, I have the Dwarf Everbearing, that has teeny fruits, but not the Black Beauty. I have cuttings from UC Davis of Tehama and several others that are rooting well.

Currently I have 5 large varieties plus the dwarf- which can get to 15', so is not really that small. So far, cutting them back every year in summer has kept them very reasonable in size.
